NATO FLIRT: The dust from the NATO exercise Trident Juncture has barely settled before the military exercise Northern Wind is held in Sweden. Frustrated Swedish peace workers see the exercise as another step towards joining NATO.
"As long as we are part of NATO, we must use our position to take a clear stand against armaments and war incitement," said Marianne Gulli in Rødt, who believes Norway should stay at home under Northern Wind.
: Several mobilization meetings are now being organized against the NATO exercise Trident Juncture around Norway. "There is an increasing build-up of militarism in Europe, and it is dangerous," one of the peace activists told Ny Tid.
