The international art project "Ramallah – Trondheim Series" discusses photography, gender and cultural understanding through lectures, workshops, football exchange and an exhibition with various photographic series. Hence the title "Ramallah – Trondheim Series". Artist Brynhild Bye-Tiller has been close to football players in Palestine and Norway to document their everyday lives, participation in sports and the trip to Trondheim for the Palestinian team this summer 2014.

Through several photographic outputs, Bye-Tiller focuses on alternative stories from a different part of Palestinian culture than what we in Norway usually see through the media. In addition to discussing the photographic work, these approaches also focus on how photography affects our understanding of the role of women, women's opportunities to participate in sports in the Middle East, stereotypes and prejudices. The project, which is now being exhibited both outdoors and indoors in Sareyyet Ramallah in Palestine, shows Norwegian and Palestinian players side by side. The exhibition will come to Trondheim at Brattøra, Clarion Hotel & Congress, autumn 2015.
